So we moved to D.C. I'll be honest...I expected more talk, more flags, more events to commemorate and remember this day. I work at a school which only goes up to 3rd grade and it was weird to realize only a handful of children were even alive when Sept. 11th happened.
That day shook me to the core, and changed the way I think about my country, religion, family and security. It increased my already present patriotism and gratitude. While it seems many have forgotten. I have not.
Let's continue to defend America and help other countries avoid terrorism as well.

We put our flag out this morning and I thought I would see lots of flags sadly that wasn't the case.
I can't believe it's been 8 years> Also, that my children will never know what it's like to meet someone at the gate of an airport. Such a big even, but it's the little things that have changed that strike as the oddest.
