TUPACALYPSE

I have more Tupac on my ipod than most-on a recent run it dawned me how old these songs are, when Tupac raps about the Clinton/Dole election, I realize that was 12 years ago. So here are some of more thoughts from one of my runs...

So in our neighborhood there are lots of yard signs for Barack Hussein Obama II. Wilst running through the neighborhood listing to Tupac-I hear these words from Tupac:

...it takes skill to be real, time to heal each other
And although it seems heaven sent
We ain't ready, to see a black President...

-Changes*

Who would have thought back in 1998 we would see a Mormon, a Woman and a Black Man running for President?

I wonder what Tupac would rap about this election... if he were around...

*Changes was recored sometime in 1995-1996; before Tupac was shot in September 1996. Changes reached the Billboard top 10 in 1998 and was nominated for a Grammy in 2000.
