Global Warming 2009

That is the White House in the Background

With the recent snowfall, we went down to the White House to play in the snow. President Obama was late from returning from Denmark, due to the weather conditions BO was unable to take a Helicopter to the White house. He had to drive.

We we were booked to fly out of Washington last night. For some reason all the flights out of the East Coast were canceled or delayed. The next flight we could get out of Washington wouldn't be until Tuesday. The situation was only made better by reading Facebook status updates of how warm it is in California. However we could get a flight out of Columbus on Sunday, so we loaded up the 4runner and traversed the snow doused Appalachians to the Ohio.

I did read that the first plane to land at BWI last night, was the Chicago Bears Charter.

This is Christy: So while we were down by the White House a couple of middle aged women walked by the National Christmas Tree and asked each other "Why aren't the lights on?" Reza told them "We are cutting down our emissions and trying to save energy, that's they they are off during the day." They saw his "Stop Global Warning" sign, and one sighed under the breath "give me a break, do you think they are tourists?"
