Worth It

So early in the week I was listening to the radio and heard them say that David Archuletta would be singing the National Anthem at the Upper Arlington vs. Dublin Coffman high school football game Friday.

I wanted to go.

It was pouring down rain, 50 degrees.

Reza's job is lame, so he wasn't able to meet me at the game.

I sat by myself in the rain at an away high school football game, to which I really have no connection.

But....I have new rain boots.

And hearing Archie sing live.....gave me chills.

So it was worth it.

And the Bears won!

It's too bad Reza had to "work," I bet he was devastated.

Perhaps this is the definition of insanity - going to a cold freezing rainy game to listen to a 16 year old singer!

I wish you would have told me, I could have gone with you so you wouldn't have sat by yourself!
